In this house in Tel Aviv, we built a second floor above the living room. We decided to use the structural elements – steel columns and beams – as a main theme for the interior design of the house.
This meant leaving them exposed, in their natural color.
It also meant using the beauty of the steel and the rhythm of the elements as an inspiration for the home furnishings, lighting, decoration and coloring of the house.
Our other inspiration was the owner’s collection of beloved books. We combined the steel structural elements with a sleek off-white furniture and a very raw wooden coffee table on wheels.
The picture on the wall pulls it all together.
