This apartment was new, and in a fairly good condition – but was cold and without charm. My clients wanted some functional changes made, but mostly they wanted what was really missing – more color, more warmth of the interior design.
We opened a large living space for the family and its many guests. In the living room we built niches to accommodate the sofa, books, hi-fi and art. The television was removed from the living room and into the den. The den was separated from the main living space with two large sliding doors. When open, they disappear behind bookshelves.
Throughout the apartment we used a mixture of colorful concrete tiles, in many patterns and colors.
